Victoria Foggo of Maiden
Vicki, founder of Maiden Bridal Boutique, shares her journey from pattern maker to bridal designer and her commitment to handcrafted gowns.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your brand?
Hello, I am Vicki, founder and creative behind Maiden Bridal Boutique.
After working for 15 plus years in the NZ and Australian fashion industries as a pattern maker, and honing my craft in top design houses, learning tailoring, hand draping, embellishment and specialised dressmaking techniques, I have married this experience with my love for luxury silks and beautiful fabrics to define Maiden’s signature aesthetic.
I love making beautiful dresses and the opportunity to guide brides through their own dress story.
How did your journey start?
After feeling the pull to put my skills to use and create dresses for brides by listening to their wants and needs, I officially started Maiden Bridal in 2023, although this has been a decade in the making.
Starting with a small edit of bridal gowns alongside a custom design and make service, Maiden Bridal has grown into a wider offering of made to order gowns, bridal minis, separates and veils.
The bridal industry is changing, and I see a lot of brides wanting to create their own story rather than taking a traditional route. I want to support people in this by offering styles that can be interchangeable, made to specific requirements and feel unique, while being expertly crafted.

Can you share an interesting aspect of your work? Maybe a part of the product-making process or a unique work ritual you have?
All styles are handcrafted, with a lot of attention given to the delicate details of dressmaking. Hand sculpted lace, beadwork and draping are a typical feature of Maiden gowns, paying homage to the finer details with hem scallops, tulle layering and fabric cut.
What are the future plans and goals for you personally, and for your company?
To keep growing Maiden to be accessible for brides wanting to create their own wedding story. That means thinking outside the box and looking at how to offer made to order, handcrafted styles while keeping things affordable.
Can you tell us about the upcoming Spacefor activation? What can customers expect from you, and why did you decide to do it?
This activation is an excellent way to bring Maiden Bridal to a space that is easily accessible for brides.
The styles are all crafted by hand, each holding a unique and special essence that you’ve got to see in person to truly appreciate.
This week in February is the perfect opportunity to try on gowns, explore different silhouettes and discover what style feels most like you. Our S26/27 collection will be available to try on and order, alongside bridal minis, separates, veils and a curated edit of one-of-a-kind pieces available to purchase on the day.
To celebrate the activation, we’ll be offering pop-up exclusives, including 10 percent deposit days, complimentary private collection viewings and more.
