Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your brand?

I’m Renei, the founder of Bhone Beauty. I started my career in finance, but after becoming a mum, my focus shifted. I wanted a wellness product that was safe, clean, and actually effective, something I could trust during a time when my body needed real support.

Bhone was created to simplify wellness for mothers and women like me, those who value their health but don’t have time for a complicated supplement routine. Our products are rooted in ancient nourishment (bone broth!) but designed for modern life, convenient, delicious, and genuinely supportive of gut health, energy, skin, and hair. I’m married with a daughter, Sienna, and we live between Hong Kong and Aotearoa — both places that inspire Bhone’s blend of intention and simplicity.

How did your journey start?

Bhone really began during my postpartum days. Like a lot of women, I was dealing with hair loss, gut issues, and that overall sense of depletion, and suddenly juggling a long list of supplements that still didn’t feel like they were working together. I kept coming back to bone broth as a wholefood source of protein, collagen, and nourishment — but making it from scratch just wasn’t realistic.

I couldn’t find anything that felt clean, trustworthy, and easy. So I decided to create it: a powdered bone broth that brought everything together — collagen, protein, vitamin C, probiotics, in one simple, effective formula. That’s how Bhone started, as a solution to a very real gap in my own routine.

Can you share an interesting aspect of your work? Maybe a part of the product-making process or a unique work ritual you have?

A lot of people don’t realise how much thought goes into every ingredient. From our 100% grass-fed beef bones to our synbiotic blend , that’s prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics, everything in Bhone is there to support a woman’s body from the inside out.

I also test every product on myself first (and now on my family too) before it ever goes to market. I’m incredibly protective of what goes in — not just for efficacy, but because it needs to be something I’d happily share with my own daughter.

What are the future plans and goals for you personally, and for your company?

Personally, I’m focusing on being present, not rushing through the journey, but actually enjoying the process of building something meaningful while raising my daughter.

For Bhone, we’re just getting started. We’re expanding into more communities of mothers and women, in New Zealand and internationally. We’re also continuing to develop new products that make wellness feel effortless — and joyful — in everyday life. I want Bhone to be something women trust, turn to, and feel supported by.

Can you tell us about the upcoming Spacefor activation? What can customers expect from you, and why did you decide to do it?

We’re so excited to bring Bhone to life during Mother’s Day week at Spacefor! People will be able to try our Beauty Broths — Vanilla Chai Haven and Chocolate Delight, in smoothies and warm cups, and really connect with what the brand feels like.

I wanted this to be more than just a pop-up. It’s a sensory moment. a pause in your day to feel nourished, connected, and calm. That’s what Bhone is all about. I didn’t just want people to see the brand online. I wanted them to feel it.
